Frequently asked questions about the Tikvah Lake Recovery Center

Tikvah Lake is a high end luxury private pay recovery center. Most of our guests have very good insurance but do not utilize it. If private pay is not an option we can assist you with regard to insurance based programs.

The clinical director and his team of therapists, conduct CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Additionally our psychiatrist can evaluate guests with regard to medication. We also offer acupuncture from our health wellness doctor, and personal training and massage.

Typically a day consists of breakfast followed by therapy (all therapy is one-on-one, multiple times a day). Additionally there is the opportunity to work with a physical trainer, and enjoy the pool & patio, lake, fishing and boating. The schedule can include acupuncture, sessions with the health wellness doctor, and massage. Our psychiatrist is also available to answer questions regarding medication. Guests can enjoy television and reading at their leisure. Telephones and laptops are always permitted to help one stay in touch with business and family. There are also field trips, for example, to enjoy the trails of a local State Park. Of course lunch and dinner are provided with snacks throughout the day. Schedules can include afternoon one-on-one therapy sessions as well.

Changing behavior is always difficult and therefore getting help is not always easy. Often times social stigmas, fear, or shame stop people from getting the treatment they want and/or need. Additionally if one has attempted in the past to get healthy and was unsuccessful or had a bad experience, that can cause one to lose hope. But persistence with the addition of the right therapists can bring the desired results.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided along with many snacks. Our professional chefs prepare fresh healthy food and can address dietary needs.

Yes, one-on-one Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is provided multiple times a day, along with our psychiatrist’s evaluation concerning medication when needed.

We only take a maximum of six clients at a time. This exclusive approach means we can give personal and professional attention to everyone.

Yes, we provide an exclusive program called Future Care. Studies show that continued support after treatment is vitally important to sustain healing and maintain recovery. The Future Care Program is remote therapy where our guests can continue to work with, and be in touch with, our therapists. The first 30 days of Future Care are included in the tuition. There is the opportunity to continue Future Care with the coordination of the Clinical Director.

Yes. Tikvah Lake only offers in-patient treatment where the clients stay on-site for the entire duration of their therapy. The advantage of a residential program is that it encourages behavioral and lifestyle changes while still being able to use electronic devices to maintain communication with loved ones and business.

The standard Program at Tikvah Lake lasts 30 days. However, we also offer a shorter executive program that can be individualized to meet the time constraints a guest may have. Some guests do stay for multiple month as well.

Tikvah Lake is located in the town of Sebring in Central Florida on a 200 acre lake. It is a quiet setting which allows our guests to have a time of reflection and healing.

One can either drive to Central Florida or fly to Orlando (MCL) or West Palm Beach (PBI). Sebring Regional Airport is an alternative option as well for private air travel. Local transportation will be required from the airports.
